Home>Features>Mapping Features>Interactive Map Examples Community Center Interactive Map ExamplesCommunity Center Maps come in two flavors. The proprietary, custom mapping application will allow you to select thematic or base maps, overlay layers, change scale, measure distance or area, and search map features. These displayed map features can be linked to related datasets, such as a parcel/tax database, a historical structures inventory, or water sampling points. The attribute data can include pictures, documents, graphs, or other data.
The other option is Open API Mapping (Google Maps or Microsoft Virtual Earth). This option takes advantage of the systems Google and Microsoft have developed and made available to programmers through open programming interfaces.
